2.0L EA888 VW/Audi Oil Filter Housing/Accessory Bracket Block Off Plate

Oil Filter Housings are a common coolant and oil leak concern on all generations of VW/Audi 2.0l EA888 engines. This 3D printed block off plate gives you a cost effective way to fully degrease and wash the engine block without risk of contaminating the coolant and oil passages. Once you have removed your Oil Filter Housing, fit this block off plate using a new Oil Filter Housing seal, torque it to the 5Nm spec stated on the block off plate, and clean your engine! 

Each plate is printed in durable PETG plastic and comes packaged with the plate itself and a bolt spacer that allows you to use the long or short bolts from the oil filter housing. To use, remove oil filter housing, clean mating surface on engine block, hand press oil filter housing seal into block off plate, hold oil filter block off plate to engine with seal side towards engine, then hand tighten mounting bolts and finish torque fasteners to specification stated on block off plate. Oil Filter Housing Seal not included. 

NOTE - It is still suggested to perform subsequent oil change after engine cleaning as this plate does not prevent any cross contamination that happened previous to or during removal of oil filter housing as well as after removal of block off plate. It is also not guaranteed that this plate will not allow water past it depending on the pressure output of your power washer, proper torquing of fasteners, cleanliness of sealing surfaces, and how directly high pressure water is sprayed at the plate. I have been using this plate for several months and have not yet seen any water ingress. Some white chemical burns have been found to stain block off plate when using harsh chemicals, these have yet to show any fatigue on the plate in a way that lowers its strength.
